Default A/any Hidden Caltrops

Introduction
Been thinking of a build with Hidden Caltrops...like how to make it more effective in comparison to Caltrops under Deadly Paradox...so the best way to make it work is by utilizing the range it has.

Build
Assassin/
Level: 20

Critical Strikes: 9 (8+1)
Dagger Mastery: 16 (12+4)
Shadow Arts: 11 (10+1)

- Critical Agility (Sunspear Skill)
- Malicious Strike (Critical Strikes) <-- hitting a crippled target resets Critical Agility
- Hidden Caltrops [Elite] (Shadow Arts) <-- once a ranged character on your team hits the target, the target is snared with cripple
- Golden Fox Strike (Dagger Mastery) <-- cannot be blocked
- Jungle Strike (Dagger Mastery) <-- crippled targets take extra damage
- Nine Tail Strike (Dagger Mastery) <-- cannot be blocked
- Death's Retreat (Shadow Arts) <-- "get out" skill
- Sunspear Rebirth Signet () <-- res

Sideboard:
- Golden Lotus Strike (Dagger Mastery) instead of Golden Fox Strike, to give energy fuel to the attack chain
- Twisting Fangs (Critical Strikes) instead of Nine Tail Strike, for a deep wound finisher
-Critical Strike (Critical Strikes) instead of Nine Tail Strike, to get energy back at the end of the chain

Thoughts
-Doesn't match Crippling Shot in terms of spammability
-hex is harder to remove and damage occurs on end
-unlike Hidden caltrops it is full ranged but doesn't hit multiple targets

you don't really need to cripple anything in pve :P

in pvp, there are better snares...

hidden caltrops is just weird.. and to make it elite is whack

The damage is mediocre from the build and the attack chain isnt very spammable, which is esepcially important for PvE. No deep wound also slows things down alot.

with a skill like hidden caltrops you should definitly consider bringing jagged strike to cover the cripple or it will easily be removed. Since this is for PVE though aside from moddok crevice cripple isn't really needed.
